President George W. Bush
It is thought by some people that the former President of the USA, George W. Bush, had prior knowledge that the 9/11 terrorist attacks would happen. President Bush first was notified of the WTC attacks when he was in his Presidential Limousine, just before he was about to enter Booker Elementary School in Florida, where he would read to the children there. Bush said that he saw the first impact of the plane (flight 11) into the North WTC tower on a live tv feed, and was then informed by his chief of staff, Andy Card, of the second impact. Card told Bush "A second plane has hit the tower. America's under attack". Bush stated this order of events on two separate occasions. The only problem with his story being that there was no live footage of the first tower being hit. The first footage was released around 11 am, after the second impact had occurred Thus, Bush could not have found out about the first crash 1) on live tv news coverage and 2) before the second attack had happened. President Bush lied about how he found out about the attacks. He would have no reason to do this if he was innocent and didn't know anything about the attacks.
After being told of the second crash and that America was "under attack" Bush showed no surprise and continued reading a book about goats to the class of young children. His country, that was his to protect, had just had an act of terrorism committed upon it. Over 3,000 people had been killed, and he thought that finishing a story was more important than going and supporting his country in a time of tragedy.
